Evie Grace's Grand Entrance

Here is a video Matt made for our family. I love the "Gracie" song. Both of our mom's cried, so get ready with the kleenex.

TICK TOCK....

Time now seems to be at a stand still as TODAY is Evie's due date and she has yet to make an appearance! We have been counting down the days to her arrival on a chalkboard in our kitchen that Matt made and as we have arrived to the much anticipated date--she still has yet to show her face! So the clock keeps ticking....

GOOOAAALLLL!!!!

Apparently Evie is good luck!

Grandma Boot Camp

When Grandma comes to town she means business! Grandma has enforced a strict walking regimen to help get this baby to come! Oh and yes, apparently there is a uniform also.

Nursery

After months of putting all the finishing touches on our nursery for our little girl, I can finally say "it is finished!" I call our decorating "antique chic" as we rummaged a lot of antique stores to find all the perfect furniture and accessories for the room. We bought a new crib but found a lot of really unique "antique" accessories and furniture.

Here's an up close look at the bedding I made for her.
Matt sketched these drawings for Evie, if you look close the first one says "Sugar" the next one "Spice" and the next one "And Everything Nice". He came up with this all on his own and I love them!

Crafting for Evie

One thing I was so excited about when we found out we were pregnant was to be able to make our baby lots of things, but obviously ever since we found out it was a GIRL, I just can't seem to ever stop sewing, crafting, etc! I think my husband thinks I can make ANYTHING for her so whenever we discover one more thing she needs I always get a "You could make that for her!" from him, and I always add "yes, but we can BUY things too for her". Apparently he thinks I am "Supermom" already!

Here are some things I have made for our precious little girl.....

Clothing dividers for all her clothes.

I recovered a lamp and painted the stand--this was an all blue toile lamp before.

I made a name tag for her diaper bag with the very few scraps of nursery fabric I had left after I made her bedding.

I made a bow holder out of a picture frame and fabric with mod podge.

I made a button pillow in the shape of an E, I must say I am an expert at sewing buttons on now!

I even made cute little clutches for the hostesses of one of my baby showers.

I covered a diaper wipe case with fabric.

I even made some "ruffle butt" onesies for her. Anything looks better with a little ruffle!
