Evie's Ice Cream Party

Evie had an Ice Cream Party for her 3rd birthday this summer and it was a lot of fun. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and had yummy ice cream sundaes for dessert. The highlight was the huge inflatable water slide we got for the kids (and grownups:). Evie played on it for hours before her party started with her cousin Penelope so was a little burnt out when it was time for the guests to arrive. My parents were even able to make it which made it extra special.

Swim Lessons

Evie went to swim lessons at the beginning of summer and I must say there were tears almost before every lesson...she was not a fan of "putting her head in the water". It surprised me as this is my little fearless girl not wanting to try something new! It got better each time we went and she was smiling and laughing by the last session. She got to take it with ALL GIRLS which I think was her favorite part! She learned to swim 10 seconds under water and jump in and get out on the edge all by herself.

Memorial Day Weekend

We went to the lake with the McCords over Memorial Day weekend and had a blast. The kids played and we got some time to relax. Fun was had by all!

Matt's 30th birthday Crawfish Boil

We had a crawfish boil or Matt's 30th birthday and it was so much fun. We really didn't know what we were doing but with lots of research and some calls to the crawfish company we eventually figured it all out. We did have a "cajun" Grandpa there that helped too! Even the kids had fun playing with all the crawfish!

Easter

My parents flew in for an added bonus trip to the US over Easter so we all hung out at the lakehouse together for about a week.  We had beautiful weather and even though it was March we took the boat, jet skis and canoe out on the water. Penelope and Evie were never seen without stella and their strollers and even got to play dress up with some of great-grandma's accessories. We went on walks, roasted smores, and even had an easter egg hunt for the kids. It was a great week.
