Christmas at the Lakehouse

We spent two weeks with my family at the Lakehouse and it was SO MUCH FUN! We started off the week going to a nearby Christmas tree farm to find the perfect tree!

Then it was time to trim the tree!

And the princesses always have to have a special tea party with Grandma

We sat around a lot and just enjoyed the beautiful lake and weather--surprisingly warm in December!

Making Gingerbread houses--although Evie just wanted to eat the candy....

Having a movie night with their new sleeping bags

 Frosting Christmas cookies

All ready for church. We went to the small Methodist church in town and it was so neat as Evie and Penelope got to be in the Christmas play the kids put on. It was like a scene from The Christmas Pageant. They were pretty cute little angels!

Being best buds--well for 5 seconds :)

Carving the bird

To our surprise it started snowing while we were finishing up Christmas dinner and we had so much fun playing in it! What an awesome white Christmas it was!

Reading the Night Before Christmas read by Great Grandpa Culpepper

Evie got to experience sledding for the first time--she had so much fun!
